Last date for holding annual general meeting for the financial year 2020-21 is 30th September, 2021(except for first financial year).

Every Director who has been allotted DIN on or before the end of the financial year, and whose DIN status is ‘Approved’, would be mandatorily required to file form DIR-3 KYC .
According to Rule 16 of the Companies (Acceptance of Deposits) Rules, 2014, every company to which this rule apply shall have to file a return in form DPT 3 within 90 days of closure of the financial year. So the last date of filing that return is June 30, 2021 for the financial year 2020-21.

Due to pandemic CORONA, Registrar of Companies extended the date for holding AGM for the financial year 2019-20 for three months, hence the due date of AGM was 31.12.2020.
So the due date for filing financial statements with the Registrar of Companies will be 30.01.2021.
Due date for filing annual return for the financial year 2019-20 will be 28.02.2021
After due date, fine will be Rs. 100.00 for each return. So to avoid fine and last time rush, companies are requested to file the returns at the earliest.
The Companies Act, 2013 make it mandatory for Companies to
place its financial statement before an annual general meeting within six
months from the end of the financial year. Because of the outbreak of pandemic
CORONA, Registrar of Companies has relaxed the above provision by giving three
more months for holding the annual general meeting for the financial year 2019-20.
Hence December, 31, 2020 is the last date for holding the annual general
meeting to place the financial statement and director’s report for the financial
year 2019-20 before the annual general meeting.
Ø Annual general meeting notice should be send to all directors, shareholders and auditors;
Ø Audited financial statement, auditors report and directors’ report should also give to all shareholders;
Ø Company should maintain proof of sending notice;
Ø This year meeting through video/audio-visual means allowed;
Ø Within 30 days of annual general meeting every company should file their financial statement to Registrar of Companies;
Ø Within 60 days of annual general meeting every company should file the annual return to the Registrar of Companies;
